Life Lately- Easter Break Recap

It may be Tuesday, but today feels like Monday since I had yesterday off from school for Easter break. Although I had a wonderful holiday with my family, I'm sad to see Easter go already since it is one of my favorite holidays. I love the cute little decorations with bunnies and chicks so I will be checking out the clearance section of Target soon to see what they have left.

I may even stock up on some new egg coloring kits for next year. This year, my cousin and I tried out two new kits, glitter and molten magic, and were very disappointed with them. Maybe we didn't do them right, which is very possible, but we ended up discarding the kits and sticking to the original colors instead. All in all, I think our eggs turned out pretty well!

Besides for egg coloring, choosing an Easter dress is another favorite tradition of mine. My family always goes to a fancy restaurant on Easter that requires formal attire. This year, I chose to wear this adorable pink seersucker dress from Lauren James. I actually purchased this dress over the summer during one of their sales and I got it for around $50 instead of the regular $125 that it retails for. While Lauren James offers several styles, this open back style with the bow has always been my
favorite! I linked it here

I also made time to go shopping at one of my favorite boutiques, Island Time, in Milford, CT to browse the Lilly Pulitzer collection. I had my eye on this cute two piece and a v-neck dress that would work well as a beach coverup. I didn't purchase anything this time, but I did order a Lilly dress on Poshmark that I've had my eye on for years and finally found in my size!

I always make time to walk my dog over breaks home from school. This past Saturday was a really nice day, about 57 degrees, and we spent time outside walking around the neighborhood and sitting in the front yard. After spending time in the sunshine, it was hard to bring her indoors and head back to school!

Thanks for reading!

  1. So chic and interesting this Easter break recap was. These photos were the treat to my eyes. We are also looking for a decent theme for our daughter’s birthday and I think the Easter Birthday party would be best. I want to throw the party outdoors so it will be great if anyone here could suggest the best LA venue!
